Episode 17
Bloom takes Stephen back to his home, but, upon arrival, Bloom discovers
he has forgotten his house key and is reduced to climbing over a railing
and lowering himself to a basement level door to get into his house. The
place is 7 Eccles Street, the 3-storey-over-basement home of the Bloom residence.
The time is 2:00 a.m. in the wee small hours.
Episode 17 was written in Trieste in 1919 and completed in Paris in 1920-1921.
